Because of a lot of the tech blogs I like to read, I end up signing up for lots of closed betas by putting my email addy on the waiting list. Then later, I get an email with the actual invite, and I’ve forgotten what I found so compelling about the thing in the first place.
But that’s probably another story entirely. I have found some great tools by participating in these betas, as long as I can remember not to become too dependent on them. Otherwise when they disappear or start actually charging (eek!), I’m SOL.
