Remember the super awesome Father’s Day present I was arranging for Mark?
Here it is:
It’s a custom oil painting, created based on a digital picture of Mark and the kids. The artist (from Etsy, natch) did a fabulous job, and I had it framed locally last week. It’s just beautiful, and Mark really liked it.

I think Lauren might like this. The first challenge is a self-portrait, and I know she has several of those around. Of course, she might want to make a new portrait specifically for the challenge. That’ll be up to her, of course.

Kidmade says that they are going to have regular creative “challenges” for children (this month’s is to create a self portrait). You can send them a photo of the completed challenge with a blurb written by the child (or dictated to you). Sounds like a fun and cooperative way for your children to share their artwork and other projects!
